At Whitehall Stone Sales Ltd we supply many different types and styles of new paving stones but primarily focus on Sawn paving, also known as calibrated paving stones, which are cut from quarried stone and of a uniform thickness and finish. They are much easier and quicker to lay than riven paving but are more expensive as a result.
Sawn Paving might be used for public or leisure spaces such as swimming pools, busy walkways, patios or pavements whereas Riven Paving is often used for more traditional, country home driveways or yards where a smooth polished finish isn’t essential.
We have a dedicated yard in Southowram, West Yorkshire which specialises in sawn products. We have supplied many town centres and leisure-specific sites where a more smoother finish is required with no compromise on the character and colour of the stone.
